Drewery & Wheeldon Auctioneers welcome enquiries from prospective buyers and we will be happy to answer any questions about the buying process, or any individual lots you may be interested in. We offer friendly, impartial and confidential advice.
If you wish to bid in person at an auction sale, please register your name and address at our registration desk and collect a numbered bidding card before the sale starts. Collect a copy of our addendum sheet for news of any last minute sales, withdrawals or material alterations.
A telephone bidding service is available to those unable to attend an auction sale. Telephone bids are offered subject to a minimum lot estimate of £100.
We recommend that buyers satisfy themselves as to the condition of a lot before placing a bid. By submitting a bid (in any form) you are agreeing to our terms and conditions in full.
If you are unable to attend an auction in person, you can leave a commission bid. You submit a bid in writing on a commison bidding form and authorise us to act on your behalf in the sale room. We ask that commission bidders register themselves and their bids in good time before the sale starts.
Prior to placing a bid, please be sure to read our terms and conditions and understand the full cost of your purchase. All purchases are subject to a buyer’s premium of 15% (plus VAT) of the hammer price on each lot with a minimum of £1 per lot.
